MD802 - won't accept manual VIN for 2002 Honda

Evaluating an MD802 in Canada. Communicated successfully with a 1998 Toyota Corolla ... no VIN input required. Unable to communicate with a 2005 Honda CRV ... manual input of required VIN loops back for repeated input ... eventually hangs? Tried as Canadian and USA ... same problem? Anyone else experience this? -

Correction to original post: "VIN looping" was first experienced on a 2002 Honda CRV (not 2005).
Further results:
- auto-detected (area = USA) on a 2005 Toyota Echo
Further testing: "VIN looping" also experienced on a 2002 Honda Odyssey.
MD802 about:
- firmware version: V1.01
- system software version: V4.40
- hardware version: V1.00
- manufacture date: 07/23/2014 -

Had this same issue with a 99 Mercury Sable. I sent in a ticket order to fix it and it works fine now. I did notice your system software version is V4.40. I am using V4.50. Get the latest update and see if that fixes it for you folks. The only other problem I'm having is it won't read my airbag codes. Thankfully, I have a service manual and figured out what the air bag issue is. -

Further updating: Registered the MD802 online ... applied all available updates (44) ... Setup/About now shows software version V4.50 (vice V4.40)
Further testing:
... (2002 Honda CRV, keyon-engoff): MD802 now accepts VIN for this vehicle and appears to have full data access permitted by OEM for after-market tools.
... (2002 Honda Odyssey, keyon-engoff): MD802 now accepts VIN for this vehicle ... appears to have considerable data access as permitted by OEM for after-market tools ... however the O2 Monitor Test and On-Board Monitor Tests report as not supported. Will be investigated further as they are available in the same vintage CRV above (deficiency may be with Autel software).
